Associate Vice President Edwin Jusino
Edwin Jusino is the new Associate Vice President of the Puerto Rico Statehood Students Association. He is a student at the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez where he served as Chapter President. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1989, Jusino has been a member of the Puerto Rico Statehood Students Association since 2008. Edwin Jusino helped co-found the UPR Mayaguez Chapter, and served as its president from August 2009 to January 2011, when he stepped down to manage the José Celso Barbosa Campaign. The campaign organized, along with chapter leaders from Rio Piedras, Ponce, Mayaguez and Bayamón the successful forum in the UPR Bayamón titled: “Rights, Liberties and the Practical Benefits of Statehood” given by Ricardo Roselló. Jusino is also the editor-in-chief of the association’s newsletter and online newspaper, “The Reason” or “La Razón”. The newsletter is distributed online and as flyers in both Mayaguez, and Rio Piedras campus of the University of Puerto Rico. |
