Puerto Rico State Director Luis Mercado

Luis Mercado serves as the current Puerto Rico State Director, overseeing the operations of our chapters.

After serving as the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez Campus Student Council President, and the UPR Administration Board, Luis now serves in the Executive Board of the PRSSA UPRM Chapter as the chapter Vice President.

He was appointed to his position by President Eduardo Soto in late 2011. Since then he has developed a reorganization plan for the chapters in Puerto Rico to make sure the PRSSA and its members are prepared for the many challenges and projects of this election year.

Luis is a student of Business Administration, with majors in Finance and Accounting.

Since being appointed to the President’s Cabinet, he has been active in collaborating with chapters, and hosting events, such as the forum held at the UPRM with the Secretary of State of Puerto Rico, and first PRSSA President, Kenneth McClintock.
