Raul Vidal

Raúl R. Vidal Sepúlveda was born in San Juan on February 8, 1985. He attended Colegio San José School for young gentlemen, from which he graduated with high honors in 2003. Later, he attended the Elliott School of International Affairs of The George Washington University in Washington, DC, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs in 2007.While studying in Washington, DC, he has served as an intern in the White House and also for Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico, Luis Fortuño. Taking a sabbatical from his regular studies, in 2006, he went to study to the American University in Rome, Italy, where he also interned for the Vatican Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also while in Washington, DC, Vidal has been the Executive Assistant to the Center for a Free Cuba, a non-profit, human rights organization that promotes the liberation of Cuba. While in that position, Vidal has dealt with national and foreign dignitaries in forging legislation that has successfully blocked some of Fidel Castro’s dealings around the world.

After graduating from GWU, Vidal enrolled at the Washington College of Law in American University, also in Washington, DC, where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2010. In addition to promoting statehood for Puerto Rico, Vidal, as an Auxiliary of the Knights of Malta, is very active in humanitarian work around the world.
